2013.08.06

GB Clean Energy Ltd. (GBCE) announced today that Mr. Benjamin Wiley has been appointed as Managing Director. His focus area will be on building the GBCE business in Indonesia. Prior to joining GBCE, Mr. Wiley served as a Managing Director and Head of the Metals and Mining sector in Asia for Standard Chartered Bank. He possesses over 25 years of investment banking experience in Indonesia and Asia.

Welcoming his appointment, the International Vice Chairman of GBCE, Mr. Steve Chu said:

“I am delighted to welcome Mr. Wiley as the new Managing Director. This appointment reflects our commitment to building a significant position in Indonesia’s coal industry with our coal upgrading technologies. Mr. Wiley brings with him a wealth of expertise and a presence built over many years advising Indonesian coal companies.”

Mr. Wiley is a senior banker of international standing in Asia’s Metals and Mining Industry. He was the first senior member of Macquarie’s Corporate Advisory Resources Group in Asia and President Director of Macquarie Indonesia. He has advised a number of Indonesia’s leading coal mining companies on landmark transactions.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Wiley said:

“I am very excited at the prospect of leading GBCE’s growth in Indonesia. GBCE is the clear leader in the coal upgrading industry globally, having operated commercially on a full industrial scale for a considerable period of time. The company's core strength comes from its depth of in-house R&D and engineering talent. I believe GBCE has the potential to add tremendous value to Indonesia’s low rank coal resources.”

Mr. Wiley will assume his leadership role starting immediately.
